We offer online and in-class public courses, online and on-site in-house courses and distance learning correspondence courses. The following topics describe and discuss the various modes offered.
Our classroom courses are conducted in suitable conference facilities, and in the case of UTS courses, many are conducted on campus, although Sydney CBD locations also sometimes used.
For publicly offered courses, the training provider covers the following as part of the course fee:
- Suitable training room or conference venue with comfortable seating and desk for each attendee;
- Course materials, downloadable files, login to support site;
- Catering, including catering for allergy and reasonable dietary requirements.
- There is limited availability of loaner laptops, suitably configured, by prior arrangement, and may be subject to small charge.
The participant should provide:
- Their own laptop, with properly updated software - see software requirements below;
- For courses on UTS campus, the participant may like to bring a capped drinking bottle, glasses and mugs are not allowed in the rooms;
- Writing and note-taking materials, including highlighters if part of your learning style;
Software Requirements, by course:
- For the Financial Analysis Certificate, a recent and fully-updated version of Microsoft Excel, and Office 365 version is best. Note that some features presented are not supported in the Mac versions of the product, but most content can be worked on the Mac.
- For the Financial Analysis VBA Certificate, a recent and fully-updated version of Microsoft Excel, and Office 365 version is best. Note that some features presented are not supported in the Mac versions of the product, but most content can be worked on the Mac
- For the Power BI Series, a recent and fully-updated version of Microsoft Excel from Office 365 for Windows. Some features are not supported by older versions of Excel or the Mac and a whilst it is possible to attend, the learning will be compromised without the latest versions of Excel running on the Windows desktop; In addition, the user should have the Power BI Desktop installed on their system.
- For the lecture-only modules of the Key Topic Lecture Series, no laptop or software is required.
- For the hands-on modules of the Key Topic Lecture Series, a recent and fully updated version of Excel is required, most sessions are compatible with the Mac unless identified in course description.
